Alika, at 52 years old, has a youthful spirit and vitality that often leads people to mistake him for the older brother of his fellow instructor Donovan, who is just 20. This vibrant energy is a testament to his lifelong love for the ocean and the active lifestyle he leads. Alika’s journey is as fascinating as his personality, shaped by both his roots in Hawaii and his adventures around the globe.

A Hawaiian Heart with a Worldly Soul

Growing up in Hawaii, Alika developed an early love for the ocean. Surfing, swimming, and exploring the underwater world were part of his daily life. However, his adventurous spirit led him to spend 20 years away from the islands, traveling the world and experiencing different cultures and waters. From surfing the smooth waves in Australia to diving in the coral reefs of the Great Barrier Reef and the Philipines, Alika's global adventures enriched his understanding and appreciation of marine life and water sports.

After two decades of exploring, Alika returned to Hawaii with a wealth of experiences and a renewed love for his home waters.
